Marghazhi Vaibhavam 2013 January on Vijay TV! Review by INDRA

The first pasuram of Thiruppavai by Ramanathan and group on the Saxophone was blissful in the early morning on Sunday! We felt there was a celebration at home with lots of fanfare and many people around! Sri Velukkudi Swamigal, the scholar par excellence had given a thought provoking description of the importance of the month of Marghazhi. He emphatically pointed out the value of totally surrendering ourselves unto the feet of the Lord, forgetting everything else! Like the flow of a river, like a sage, Swamigal's every word is a gem of thought, that should be treasured! He initiated marghazhi vaibhavam with a vivid description about the birth of Andal Thayar to Periazhwar. The smooth flow of Swamigal's details of the importance of Lord's month Marghazhi, and the ddedication with which Sri. Andal conducted "Paavai Nonbu" with so many other devotees and friends of the Goddess, to attain the love and affection of the Lord, was a lecture par excellence!

Revathi Sankaran ma'm was looking at her best attire in deep majenta, presenting herself very lovely as usual! We went with her to see the beautiful kolams, heard her interaction with people, with a band of Nadhaswaram, and the poised elephant at the entrance of the temple, following the ladies in splendour! The vaild comments of Revathi ma'am regarding the kolam during this month, the goodness of placing the pumpkin flower in the middle of the kolam and also the differentiation between male and female flower, shows her intelligence and the readiness to impart, all that she had learnt to others as well! Kudos to her enterprising nature!

Kolam by Chitra was very symmetrical, very beautiful and unimaginable! Thanks to Revathi madam for introduicng the best of creative kolams to the viewers! Her comments were very precious, both to the participants and viewers!

With her charismatic and infectious smile, Nithyashree gave us a visual treat of a very high calibre, that we have been experiencing all these years. Her poignant and loving detail of her grand mother, the way her grand mother showered her affection, by attending the concert, immediately after she was operated on her eyes, was stunning to hear! It was like a gentle breeze flowing, when Nithyashree sang the Pasuram. Her experiences, frankly shared was commendable! we are the most fortunate!

We will travel with Revathi Sankaran and the rest of the vivacious team of Star Vijay, to explore the beauty and the eminence of the month of Marghazhi throughout!

Photography, choreography, and compering was out of the ordinary as predicted! Vijay TV has more of intelligence to stand out from the rest!

Jayalakshmi had proved herself to be an eminent dancer! She is a very beautiful looking Anchor also! The programme was more charming because of her presence throughout!
