NETWORKS are the well-wishers of the computers,

The world over and never let loose their children to scatter ever!

If we wish to match these paramount personalities,

Then we should rise to the top of the HIERARCHY,

Or else, we can ANALYSE, design and implement computer realities.

COPYING is prohibited in exam halls!

Machines never object to copying and RENAMING

It’s FILES, by and large!

COMMANDS executed with compliance and grace

Nevertheless, it is a herculean task we face!

To disqualify the SYSTAX ERRORS those emerge in haste!

Like Savior, like God came forth the people of CODASYL,

To lend a helping hand for people in BUSINESS and LAYMEN still!

Those who boycotted English grammar at school,

Will find it a problem to interact with COBOL’s rules!!

Are dynamic in nature and organize themselves in PROCEDURES!

To not beat around the bush to rectify the countless errors!

That march forth to fight back the blunders of our PACKAGE of NON-DOCUMENT files!!

UNIX and SHELL variables, C and C++, CLIPPER, JAVA, SQL, ORACLE, Web Design, Database 4GL Tools and HTML Type Screens, do not link well with COBOL Language!!

Increased development of Y2K still maintains COBOL as the traditional Power House for business applications!!

Which Language can overrule the simple manipulation of textual data as COBOL does? COBOL grows. There is no Salvage!
